Champion Breakfast

* 1 to 2 Tbs safflower oil
* 4 oz ground beef, chicken, or turkey
* Dash of garlic salt
* 2 eggs
* 1 Tbs steamed carrots, minced
* 1 tsp cottage cheese

Heat oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Cook meat for 2 minutes and add the garlic salt. In a bowl, mix eggs, vegetable, and cottage cheese. Add to pan. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring often. Place in a bowl and serve warm, not hot. (Yield: 2 meals)

Recipe: Tuna Cookies

Tuna Cookies

* 1 8 oz. can tuna (in oil)
* 2 cups cornmeal
* 2 cups flour
* 3/4 cup water
* 2/3 cup veg. oil
* 1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix all ingredients well. On floured surface, roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into tiny squares or other shapes. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Store in airtight container in fridge.

Recipe: Tuna Balls

Tuna Balls

* 1 can drained tuna
* 1/2 can finely diced turkey or chicken
* 2/3 cup dry cat food
* Sliced vegetables (optional)

Mix all ingredients in small bowl untill well mixed. Form into small balls. Chill for about an hour. Serve.

Recipe: Sardine Surprise

Sardine Surprise

* 2 flat cans of sardines in oil (do not drain)
* 2/3 cup cooked rice
* 1 Tbs pureed liver (or canned liver cat food)
* 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Shape into balls of desired size or simply spoon into cat’s dish and serve. These treats may be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days, and may also be frozen.

Recipe: Liver or Tuna Puffs

Liver (or Tuna) Puffs

* 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
* 1 cup all purpose flour
* 1 package unflavored gelatin
* 1 package dry yeast (about 2 1/2 teaspoons)
* 1 cup powdered dry milk
* 1/4 cup very warm water
* 1/4 cup corn oil
* 1 egg yolk
* 1 - 6 ounce can liver (or tuna) cat food
* 1/4 cup water

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Add yeast, oil, egg, cat food and water. Mix well (dough will be very stiff). Drop 1/2 teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 25 minutes at 300 degrees. Yield 13 dozen. Store in refrigerator.
