Catnip enters our systems through our mouths and noses, when we eat it and sniff it! There have been reports of catnip users also drinking it in a “tea,” but it isn’t quite as effective that way. It’s been suggested in the past that it could be concentrated and injected into the cat’s body, but this really hasn’t been tested out in the broader feline population. We don’t think that injectable drug use is a safe alternative for cats, so we’ll stick with the sniff-and-eat approach.
