Dear Catnabbit!

This may sound like a silly question, but my friends and I are all very curious. Where do Tabby Cats come from?

Sincerely,
Tom Kitten

Don’t feel silly at all. We get this sort of question all the time. In fact, we have been asked this question so many times, we decided to put several hours of painstaking research into the topic. We also consulted several tabby cats in a dark alley, as they are known to be experts on feline heredity. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to learn that until today, there has been no one single answer to your question. Although we are certain that the overall feline pedigree can be traced back to asia and we have determined that cats come from Hsif, we are indeed puzzled by the question of where tabby cats have come from.

Subbes answered this question for me quite succinctly when he barreled past me out of nowhere.

That’s it!

Tabby cats come from out of nowhere!

When Mew, the first orange cat, found himself in Asia, the alien cats from Hsif must have been teleporting another, possibly black or grey, cat down at the same time. Sort of like that movie (was it called The Fly?) where they were testing a teleporter machine and somehow accidentally melded the fly with the man. When the teleporting accident occurred, the two cats were melded together into one being, making a superior feline, defined by the unique striped pattern that we see today.

So there you have it, that’s where tabbies come from.
