She claims that God is personally directing her in the creation of this breed. She also claims that she is the only breeder that may register a kitten as a Puppykat with the Rare and Exotic Feline Registry. I am trying confirm this, and get more information from REFR. Dawn feels that she is the only one that can safely create a Puppykat due to some kind of divine intervention. She envisions that she may allow other people to breed them after, perhaps, 40 years. So we now have a breed registered exclusively for one person? My, that is special. I spoke with Dawn Houston about her Puppykats. Does ANY so called 'Breeder' of these cats give a guarantee against genetic defects that can happen in the future?? Do any Breeder test for genetic defects?? ANY known defects that either breed knowingly carry?? Scottish folds have shoulder, back and other problems...the Manx is known to have problems with the anus not always developing correctly just as a start...to breed these 2 Breeds together is just asking for trouble in the future!!! In Australia, we call them 'Manxfold' and I am only one of two breeders who produce them. Here, they are not polydactyl.
