Catnabbit has been informed of a very urgent alert concerning a microchip cat virus which implants itself in the RFID tagging chips that are implanted in cats just below their necks. Since RFID emits a signal from each cat, the virus copies itself from cat to cat simply by being within a meter of one another.

Until recently, microchipping has been considered one of the safest methods of identification for a cat. It was previously unheard of for a virus to be written into a microchip. The virus is allegedly written by black cat hackers who wish to build an anti-mouse army covering planet earth. Therefore the payload causes the cat to take measures to bite, chew, and tear up every form of mouse it can find. This includes:

  • field mice
  • house mice
  • computer mice
  • modest mouse albums
  • mighty mouse dvds
  • mickey mouse films

Those who belive that their cat may be infected should take precautions to protect any equipment or posessions which could potentially be damaged during the time that the cat has the virus. At this time there is no anti virus scanner available for a cat microchip, but there may be one made available next year.

There are also unconfirmed reports of a trojan horse which affects female cats. After about 60 days of infection, several small cats come out of the female’s belly and tear up all of the furniture in the home. Female cats with the trojan horse should be kept in quarantine until it is safe to resume normal activities.
