Fort Dodge Animal Health has issued a voluntary recall of Serial 873113A of its Rabvac 3TF Rabies Vaccine. At least one dog has become rabid as a result of the ineffective vaccine. Over 300,000 pets are suspected of receiving the faulty, recalled vaccine and will need to be re-vaccinated in order to receive full protection against the debilitating disease Rabies.

Catnabbit! has learned of other shocking news related to the vaccine recall. Although the Rabies vaccine is routinely given to dogs, cats are reporting another strange side effect: instead of catching rabies, they are contracting rabbies! In this unlikely disease, the cat slowly morphs from a cat into a rabbit. The condition is reported as irreversible, but it is rarely a mortal disease. Symptoms include: large ears, hopping around, sudden increase in mathematical abilities (especially multiplication), and chanting “What’s up, doc?” instead of “Meow?”

Unlike the famous faux-Cabbits which have pictures circulating on the internet, our sources have informed us that these rabbits are not a product of cat-rabbit breeding but rather a transformation of cat into rabbit. All veterinarians are cautioned against providing the recalled Rabvac vaccine to cats, as this may have horrifying side effects.

Although the former cats miss taking naps and eating tuna, they say that they are having a great time skateboarding and multiplying. They also prever to nibble on carrots instead of mice.

Cats may contact their local veterinarian for vaccination against the elusive Rabbies disease.
